This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:

What information do we collect?

Some HighQuest Group Websites require you to be a subscriber to access certain information. Included in the personal information we collect for subscriptions are your name, company, title, mailing address, phone, email address and industry segment. If you are purchasing a subscription, conference registration or product on any one of the HighQuest Group Websites, your credit card information will be required. From time to time, we may conduct user surveys that collect visitor perceptions of the site and its functionality. These surveys may or may not require personal information. If a user is submitting contact information to download a sponsored white paper, your name, company, title, and email address are collected.

How do we collect information from you?

Cookies. Many of our Websites use "cookies." Cookies are a feature of internet browser software that allows internet servers to recognize the computer used to access a website. Cookies are files that are automatically placed on your computer to store your preferences. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your internet browser. Once you register, this information may be linked to the data stored in a cookie. Cookies help features such as recognizing you when you return to the Website. Cookies should make your online experience easier.

How is the information used?

The information we collect from our users through our Websites is used to improve our Websites’ functionality and target our editorial content to meet your needs. Registration information is also used to fulfill users’ inquiries about products and services listed on the Website without the need to re-enter data. We use registration information to fulfill online newsletter subscriptions, occasionally to notify users of new features or opportunities on the Website, or to contact users about their accounts with us. User-submitted contact information may be provided to sponsors of our services and programs to allow them to follow-up with users who have shared interests consistent with your express consent as summarized in our Website’s Terms of Use. We will also use credit card information submitted for the purchase of subscriptions or event registrations.

Security commitment

We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect through our Websites. We have a firewall to prevent unauthorized access from third parties; all data and web servers are stored in secure facilities that can be accessed only by authorized personnel; and all credit card transactions occur in a secure, encrypted SSL environment.

Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that personally identifiable information that we collect will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. Inadvertent disclosures may result, for example, when third parties misrepresent their identities in asking the site for access to personally identifiable information about themselves for purposes of correcting possible factual errors in the data. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.

The safety and security of your information also depend on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Legally compelled disclosure

We may disclose information when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.

Links and Banner Advertisements

Most of our Websites contain links and banner advertisements that link our Websites to other third party websites. Third party websites may have privacy practices that differ from ours and users should consult those websites’ privacy policies. Please remember that when you use a link or banner advertisement to leave our Website, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. We have no control over the information that those linked sites collect from you or the manner in which they protect or use your personally identifiable information.

How you can change your personal information

All HighQuest Group Websites offer users the opportunity to change their subscription information or password at any time online by using their subscriber username to access their subscription account. Email newsletters offer an automatic "unsubscribe" email in each edition. To have a customer service representative remove you as a subscriber on any of the Websites or if you have any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, please call our Marketing Department at (978) 887-8800 or by mail to HighQuest Group, 300 Rosewood Ave., Suite 260, Danvers, MA 01923, Attn: Marketing Department.
