Career Acceleration Workshop Provides Game-Changing Tactics for Moving Up the Ladder

There is no doubt that there is a gender gap in promotion rates. McKinsey & Company refers to a “broken rung” at the first step up to manager in its recent Women in the Workplace study, now in its seventh year. “Since 2016, we have seen the same trend: women are promoted to manager at far lower rates than men, and this makes it nearly impossible for companies to lay a foundation for sustained progress at more senior levels,” according to a September 2021 summary article of the study. Also noted was that for women of color, the loss of ground moving up the ladder is even more skewed, evidenced by the fact that women of color account for only 4 percent of C-suite leaders, a number that hasn't moved significantly in the past three years.(1)

But there are opportunities to counter this. Accomplished speaker Kelly Primus, of Leading NOW, one of the world’s premier consulting firms for gender balance in corporate leadership, speaks to research that identifies nine critical differentiators for moving from the middle into senior and executive positions. And it just so happens that Primus, along with colleague Dr. Usha Pillai, will present a Career Acceleration Workshop (virtual) for the Women in Agribusiness Europe audience on Tuesday, March 29 at 12 p.m. Central European Standard Time.

Here’s what previous attendees, 86 percent of whom were promoted or given more responsibility, said about the workshop:

“Very practical, candid advice and I am thrilled I attended. This is probably one of the most useful presentations I've heard in my career."

"This presentation was the most unique and informative leadership presentation I have ever attended. The insight that was presented was new, fresh and will be integral for all that attended who wish to enhance their careers.”

“The presentation was eye-opening, informative, thought-provoking, and provided advice I wish knew sooner in my career.”

The five-hour live streamed workshop includes topics such as Think Like a CEO, Strategic Mentoring, The Career Advice You Probably Didn’t Get, and Strategic Relationships for Business Success. There will be networking opportunities, and attendees walk away with a digital attendee list and a printable workbook. See the full agenda and register here.
