President Trump on Monday announced a $12 billion aid package for American farmers, moving to support a sector that's been hurt by tariffs and a U.S. trade war with China, and noting that the money to fund the aid package would come from government revenue raised through U.S. tariffs. Soon farmers can apply for the funding and disbursement is expected by Feb. 28. 2026.

A paper purportedly demonstrating the safety of glyphosate that has historically been “a cornerstone in the assessment of glyphosate's safety” has been retracted, according to the co-editor of the journal in which it was published, Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology.
