ICYMI: Favorite Interviews From 2022

By Michelle Pelletier Marshall, Women in Agribusiness Media (January 3, 2023)

WIA Today has had the chance to speak with a number of influential members of the ag sector – from Temple Grandin, who was the keynote speaker at our 2018 Denver WIA Summit, to Krysta Harden, who was USDA deputy secretary in 2014 when she spoke at WIA and is now president and CEO of the U.S. Dairy Export Council, to Mary Robinson, president of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture.

Today, as we embark on a new year that brings with it many possibilities, as well as a stronger light shined on the sector due to the pandemic, climate change, and the undeniable fact that we all eat and therefore we all have the opportunity to make a difference, whether that be to produce more food, develop innovations so we can do less with more, provide alternatives to traditional farming and food options, or simply to manage our own kitchens better with less waste and more composting. And now that we are all “back to the office” (albeit perhaps in different working schedules and still enjoying remote work as well), this year – 2023 – holds much promise.

This is evidenced by the stories we are covering and the people who are changing the trajectory of the space, like those featured in these interviews. So in case you missed them, here are some of the most-read WIA Today interviews of 2022 – thanks to your readership!

We’ll be back on January 10 with new stories and features.

All the best for 2023,

Michelle Pelletier Marshall
