Meat Exports Climb | 15,000 USDA Employees Resign | Time to Embrace AI

5-8-25 -- March was a high performing month for US beef, pork and lamb exports as all three categories trended above year-ago levels for volume and value, according to data released by the US Department of Agriculture and compiled by the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF). US meat exports climb across the board in March


5-5-25 -- At least 15,000 Agriculture Department employees have taken the Trump administration's offers to resign, according to a readout of a USDA briefing with congressional staff that was shared with POLITICO. The departures represent a drastic contraction of a department that handles a diverse portfolio including flagship federal nutrition programs, food safety, farm loans and rural broadband initiatives, your host reports. 15,000 USDA employees have resigned from the department.

The biggest threat is that companies failing to incorporate AI into their business model will fall behind their competitors, which threatens the future of both the company and its employees. "By incorporating artificial intelligence-based algorithms, the complex operations of the milling process can be performed with excellent results,” Zeki Demirtasoglu, president of Turkey’s milling association, said in a World Grain article last year.
