New WIA Resource Center Provides Answers for Agribusiness Professionals

By Julie Deering, WIA Media (May 11, 2020)

Today, May 11, Women in Agribusiness launched a new resource center with information that helps businesses cope with, and succeed in, this new and constantly-evolving environment.

“We know leaders want to act copiously, carefully and cautiously to protect not only their products and employees but also their customers,” said Joy O’Shaughnessy, HighQuest Group chief operating officer, Agribusiness. “We have such a vast amount of knowledge within our own Women in Agribusiness community and thought it could really be of value to others.”

The Women in Agribusiness Resource Center is home to several videos, with more being posted each week, that cover a range of topics. Visitors can find information from what’s happening on the farm to maintaining engagement with partners, and from the CARES ACT to crisis response.

A few examples are:

· Addressing Contractual Obligations in the Agribusiness Supply Chain with Libby Stennes, shareholder with Greenberg Traurig in Washington, D.C. and New York.

· Selling to Farmers Remotely with Monty Miller of International Performance Solutions.

· The Four Reactions to a Crisis with Sarah Beth Aubrey, principal at Aubrey Coaching & Training.

· Environment Obligations During the COVID-19 Pandemic with Bernadette Rappold, also a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig in Washington, D.C.

Visit the WIA Resource Center at womeninag.com/resource to see the full video listing. Also, if you have a question or if you can provide answers and shed light on topics of importance, please contact Vic Ruiz, project lead, at VRuiz@highquestgroup.com, for details about posting your own video.

“It’s a crazy time, and we know business leaders and team managers have many more questions than answers,” Ruiz said. “Our hope is that it helps give leaders confidence in their decision-making moving forward and that we are able to connect agribusiness professionals to the right people and information.”
