PRESS RELEASE: 2026 Women in Agribusiness Scholarship Recipients Named

NEW ORLEANS, September 9, 2026 – Women in Agribusiness (WIA) today announce the 28 students selected to receive its 2026 WIA Student Scholarship, an award that supports the next generation of women pursuing careers across the agriculture industry.


Each recipient will receive a complimentary three-day pass to the 2026 Women in Agribusiness Summit, opening the door to top-tier industry programming, extensive networking, and mentorship opportunities through pairings with sponsor organizations. Scholars will also have access to dedicated student breakfasts, lunches, and workshops, along with entry to all Summit receptions and special events.

The scholarship program, now marking its 14th year, has supported more than 450 young women in agriculture in attending the Summit, backed by over $1.4 million in cumulative sponsorship funding.


In the competitive selection for the scholarships, candidates must submit a resume, complete a detailed application, and provide a written personal statement about their career goals in agriculture and what makes them a strong fit for the scholarship. More than 50 applications were received for the 2026 cycle.
