The House on Thursday passed a major bill reauthorizing agricultural and food programs for the next five years, overcoming GOP infighting that delayed and threatened to derail the legislation this week.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Research, Education and Economics (REE) Mission Area has announced a reorganization and leadership restructuring to better align its work with USDA priorities, improve operational efficiency and deliver results more effectively for American farmers, ranchers and producers.
Reuters’ Karl Plume reported that “soaring crude oil markets have pushed soybean oil prices to the loftiest levels in more than three years, a boon for oilseed processors like Bunge Global and Archer Daniels Midland, which have seen North American soy crush margins swell to their highest since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.”
