WIA Summit Europe underway this week

By Michelle Pelletier Marshall, Women in Agribusiness Media (March 8, 2021)

The third annual Women in Agribusiness Summit Europe is now underway (8-10 March). There's still time to join us for a full day of content on Tuesday and a morning of panel discussions on Wednesday. Also, all sessions will be recorded and available to listen to for up to a year.

If you missed Monday's agenda, we featured Dorothy Dalton, CEO of 3Plus International Ltd., who provided a two-part workshop called "How to Make Your Network Part of Your 'Net' Worth". Highlights from the session include:

  • The importance of a networking strategy, even if you are in your "dream job".

  • How to uncover your Operational Network, or those you collaborate with regularly and seek out to get information.

  • Realizing your Cultural Network, or who energizes you, supports you, and who you can be honest and open with.

  • Making note of your Strategic Network -- who is your mentor and "door opener"?

  • Being authentic and showing appreciation and gratitude and "lifting while you climb".

  • See the agenda for Tuesday and Wednesday here.

Dalton also discussed how to build your "circle of success", which could include those from your business sector, your location or organization, and even your family and friends. The importance of a making a FABulous introduction to yourself as a key to networking was presented, as was the fact that having an updated LinkedIn profile can boost your spot in searches up to 40 percent.

Learn more about making networking work more efficiently to improve your career and life path by tuning in to the WIA Summit Europe.

Register here for this virtual event, or mark your calendar to join us for the hybrid U.S. 10th anniversary Women in Agribusiness Summit in Minneapolis this September 21-23.
