Women CEO Numbers Grow to 11% | MAHA Takes Aim at Grains | Tariffs Ruled Illegal

Industry News Compiliation (June 6, 2025)

Women run 11% of companies on the 2025 Fortune 500 list—a milestone that arrives two years after that stat crossed the stubborn 10% mark for the first time.

The number of female CEOs leading Fortune 500 companies was flat at 52 between 2023 and 2024; in 2025, it’s up to 55.

The Fortune 500 has for 71 years ranked the largest U.S. companies by revenue. This year, the companies that make up the Fortune 500 represent $19.9 trillion in revenue and two-thirds of total U.S. GDP. At the top are giants Walmart and Amazon; the highest-ranked Fortune 500 company run by a woman is GM, at No. 18, with CEO Mary Barra.

WIA Supporters Beth Ford, Land O'Lakes CEO, and Kristin Peck, CEO of Zoetis, are on that list. Read more here in Fortune:

The White House’s Make America Healthy Again Commission report singles out ultra-processed grains as among the foods contributing to chronic disease in American children. The report cited ultra-processed grains, sugars and fats as driving nutrient depletion, higher caloric intake and food additive consumption, with children “increasingly neglecting the whole foods essential for their health.” It also pointed to research finding that UPFs account for about 70% of the 300,000-plus branded food products in grocery stores, half of the calories consumed by Americans (and nearly 70% for children) and more than half of the diets of pregnant and postpartum women.

The US Court for International Trade (CIT) said President Donald Trump lacks the authority to levy sweeping tariffs on virtually all nations, a ruling that would block the duties he announced in early April on the administration’s so-called “liberation day.”

In the May 28 decision by a three-judge panel, the CIT also called for a halt to tariffs imposed in early February on Mexico, Canada and China.
