ORLANDO, June 12, 2025 – A spectrum of special activities has been announced for this year’s annual Women in Agribusiness (WIA) Summit, September 22-24, in Orlando, Florida USA.
Rich with industry content and more than 50 expert industry speakers, the uniqueness of the annual WIA Summit shines through in its special activities (note that pre-registration is required), which include:
Farm Tours

Two farm tour options will be available to attendees at the WIA Summit:
University of Florida Citrus Research Facility and Citrus Grove (CREC) Tour – Not far from Orlando, this world’s largest and most diverse research program addressing the challenges that affect Florida’s citrus industry, will welcome WIA attendees for two tours. Visitors will meet with researchers, ride through some of the location’s 600-plus acres of citrus groves and gain an understanding for how the fresh fruit is processed, packed and examined in its over 40 laboratories.
Southern Hill Farms – This family-owned and operated u-pick blueberry, strawberry, peach, zinnia and sunflower farm in Clermont, Florida, invites attendees for a morning tour of the blueberry fields and a guided explanation of the history of this previously commercially harvested farm that is now open to the public as a go-to destination for u-pick options. Also to note, Lisa Hill, co-owner of this family farm, will present at the WIA Summit as part of the Female Producer Panel.
Women’s Leadership Workshop: Becoming an Authentic Leader

This dynamic four-hour workshop, hosted by Syngenta leaders, will focus on three key areas crucial for leadership success: Authenticity and Personal Leadership Philosophy; Strategies for Intentional Career Development; and Networking: Building and Leveraging Professional Relationships. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, group discussions and practical exercises to better understand these critical topics.
Women in Protein Dinner

This very popular off-site dinner – hosted this year at Rodizio Grill, America's first Brazilian steakhouse – is a key special activity for women in the protein sector. More than 100 women gather for this opportunity to connect with like-minded colleagues while enjoying dozens of varieties of rotisserie-grilled meats carved by skilled Gauchos.
Members Only Night Out

For WIA Members, this is a night to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow members free of charge. A night of connection, culture and celebration has been planned at the Old Havana-styled Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar with award-winning Cuban cuisine and one of the most extensive rum selections in the country.
Yoga
Morning yoga with a certified instructor will be provided for all attendees on the second and third day of the Summit, courtesy of sponsor Farmer Mac.
WIA Summit special activities are offered throughout the Summit, beginning with the Members Only Night Out on Sunday evening, September 21 and running throughout the event days. Additional registration costs apply. See the special activities page for details.
